Niche Passivhaus Design and Building System Inc. was founded in October 2022 by a dedicated team with a clear vision: to develop advanced solar solutions specifically for Canada's diverse environmental conditions. We recognized that conventional solar systems often struggle with Canada's large seasonal differences in sunlight intensity, changing solar angles, long winters, snow accumulation, and extreme cold. This inspired us to create something truly resilient and efficient.
The innovation behind our success: the GSI System
Since our incorporation, Niche has invested over CAD $400,000 in rigorous technology development and local operations. Over the past few years, we've conducted multiple rounds of system validation, design refinement, and localization to perfectly adapt our technology for the Canadian market. This intensive work culminated in the development of our GSI System, which seamlessly integrates Green Wall, Solar Wall, and IHSEE smart energy management technologies. This system forms the cornerstone of Niche’s early-stage commercialization strategy, offering an integrated solution that performs efficiently even in the harshest Canadian weather.
